Over the weekend of 4–6 July 2025, seven of our Explorers successfully completed their qualifying expedition for the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award.
Over the past year, the team has shown great commitment by working hard on the three activity sections of the award: Volunteering, Skill and Physical. For their Volunteering section, all the Explorers dedicated their time and effort to supporting various sections within 19th Hendon (3rd Mill Hill).
To complete their Silver Award, they undertook a challenging three-day, two-night expedition. Along the way, they faced varying weather conditions – from scorching heat to a thunderstorm, yet they persevered with determination and teamwork. They had to cook their meals, and set up their camp each night, carrying everything they would need with them on their hike.
A huge congratulations to Imogen, Maisy, Farah, Dylan, Kayah, Aliza, and Poppy on this fantastic achievement! We look forward to you undertaking your Gold award.
